Heaven has called upon another angel. Mickey “La Rubia” Torres was called up to heaven. On Friday night, her Freestyle family got together to do a vigil in her honor and release balloons. Diana was able to attend (as I had to goto sleep to work the next day). She got some wonderful photos of some great great friends. From the stories that were told and the bond that everyone felt, they all knew Mickey was there watching over them. So much so that one of the balloons stuck to JC and didn’t want to go until all the other balloons were out of sight and then just slowly went up and hovered by the palm tree as if to say, “I gotcha, I love you all” (get goosebumps just typing this). And then slowly took off to the heavens. We love you Mickey!
